What exactly is the Mekjoy Foreign Trade module?

It is an operations module for managing your import and export files end to end: orders, shipments, customs documents, currencies and costing move within a single file flow. It runs on the Mekjoy ERP core and shares the same data with inventory, pre-accounting and CRM.

Who is it for?

It suits businesses of any size that import or export regularly and currently run the process with Excel, email and folders. It scales from single-location SMEs to multi-location organisations based on users and file volume.

Is migrating from Excel hard? What happens to our data?

During onboarding your customer, product and open-file data is transferred and the flows are configured to your way of working. After a short team training you start working; you keep access to your historical records.

How does it work with our customs broker?

The declaration process stays with your customs broker; the module does not file declarations. You share the current versions of file documents with your broker, archive declarations and attachments on the file, and track which step the process is at as a team.

Which currencies can I work with?

Multiple currencies are supported. You track purchases and sales in the file's currency, automate exchange-difference calculations, and see both currency and local amounts in reports.

How does costing work?

You allocate freight, insurance, customs and other expenses to the file, and the system calculates the real unit cost — so you see each file's profitability without waiting for period end.

Can I issue e-Invoices and e-Waybills?

Yes — it works integrated with the Mekjoy e-Transformation module, so you can issue the invoices linked to a trade file from the same platform.

Is it connected to inventory and warehouses?

Yes. Stock entries on import clearance and stock exits on export files run connected to the Inventory & Warehouse module; warehouse movements are linked to the trade file.

Is our data safe?

Data is stored on KVKK-compliant infrastructure and backed up regularly. With user-level permissions you decide who can view and edit what.

How is pricing determined?

Instead of a fixed public list we prepare a custom quote based on your user count and file volume. You can get the module on its own or together with Mekjoy ERP packages.

Does it require installation?

No — the module is web-based and runs in the browser. You can access it from the office, customs or the field without any server setup.

How do support and training work?

Your team receives hands-on training at the start; afterwards our support team answers your questions. Remote onboarding, training and support are available across all provinces of Türkiye.

Can I track letters of credit and different payment methods?

Yes. You track payment methods such as letter of credit (LC), cash against documents, cash against goods, advance payment and acceptance credit per file; you get due-date and deadline alerts and record bank charges and commissions. A checklist by payment method helps you complete the required documents without gaps.

Does the system calculate customs duties and expenses?

It records items like customs duty, levies and VAT on the file and tracks expenses with customs expense vouchers. Your customs broker files the declaration; the system includes these items in costing so you see the real import cost.

Does it prepare documents like certificate of origin, A.TR and EUR.1?

It quickly prepares your foreign-trade and movement documents — proforma and commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, A.TR, EUR.1 — with templates, links them to the file and tracks their validity and expiry. You can keep lists of which documents are required by country and product.

Can I track containers and shipments?

Yes. Container and cargo details, bill of lading (B/L) and transport documents, delivery terms (Incoterms), shipment status and estimated arrival (ETA) are followed on one screen. You coordinate with forwarders and carriers and manage port and warehouse movements and LCL/consolidated shipments tied to the file.

Can I manage overseas suppliers and customers in one place?

You keep overseas supplier and customer records, contracts and price lists, correspondence history and account risk/credit-limit tracking in one place. Used together with Mekjoy CRM, relationship and opportunity management connects to the same data.

What does reporting and business intelligence offer?

It offers ready-made reports for files, cost and profitability; import/export volume and country breakdowns; open files and deadlines; currency position and exchange differences. You customize views, export to Excel and PDF, and run deeper analysis with the Mekjoy Business Intelligence module.

Does it integrate with our existing programs, banks or logistics firms?

It works integrated on the same data with Mekjoy ERP, Inventory, Pre-Accounting, CRM and e-Transformation. It can connect to your other systems via open API and webhooks, and the infrastructure is ready for bank, customs and logistics integrations. We plan custom integrations together based on your needs.

Can I work with multiple companies or branches?

Yes. Multi-company and multi-location structures are supported; each unit manages its own files while you see consolidated reports. With user-level permissions you decide who can view and edit which company or file.

Can I prepare documents in English or multiple languages?

Yes. You can prepare and print documents such as proforma, commercial invoice and packing list in English and other languages using templates, so you share the same documents smoothly with your counterparts abroad.
